PRINT CARE
Framing is recommended to best protect your handmade print and keep it in its best long term condition. Wrap print in acid-free paper (the paper it came in) while not in a frame to prevent against yellowing and staining. Prints should be kept out of direct sunlight and room temperature conditions.
HANDMADE NOTE
Please note that due to the hand made and hand printed nature of printmaking, there might be slight variations of color density and detail variations with each print from the photograph. No two prints are the same, each print is unique and considered an original work of art.
WHY YOU LUMINOUS BXTCH?
BRILLA was birthed one sunny morning as I caught my reflection in a mirror and proclaimed to myself "ooh you luminous bxtch!" I love beholding my shine and I want to see everyone shine. To shine is to show power, unapologetic strength from within, and fearlessness in our self love.
Let’s be clear: intention, tone, and the person behind saying the word bxtch, matters. I say bxtch as a femme who has reclaimed that term for every time I have made myself small out of fear of being “too much” or speaking hard truths. I said this affirmation one morning to myself in the mirror, which sparked what BRILLA is today. I hope that we can all honor and respect what makes each one of us so beautifully luminous.
